Sponsorship is a great way to help FCLF preserve our past to benefit our future. We have two sponsorship programs available.

Becoming a sponsor is easy: Give us a call at 301-668-6088 or email us at fredcolandmarks@aol.com.

Let us know which program interests you and provide your name, address, phone number and email address.

You will then talk to a volunteer or staff person who is knowlegeable about the details of the program; who can answer your questions and set up your sponsorship. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Schifferstadt Heritage Garden Sponsorship
The Schifferstadt 18th Century Heritage Garden is a very special place. Raised beds in the traditional German four square design include many of the herbs and vegetables that would have been grown in the Schifferstadt kitchen garden by the Brunner famly during the 18th Century. Carefully researched and planted, this heritage garden is a labor of love by area gardeners, many of whom donate their time, talents and heavy lifting, weeding and harvesting skills.

Keeping up a garden full of heirloom plants using the techniques common to farmers 250 years ago is not easy. To help us continue to keep the garden and the traditions it honors alive, we need your help.

Sponsorship of a part of the garden is one way you can contribute to this vibrant entry into another time. Donations are welcome in money or in kind:

Oktoberfest at Schifferstadt Sponsorship Levels and Benefits

Oktoberfest at Schifferstadt is FCLF’s main fundraiser. We think it is the best Oktoberfest this side of Munich! Schifferstadt’s Oktoberfest features not only fine local beers, authentic German wursts and oompah music, but combines those with a juried craft fair, demonstrations of colonial crafts, special tours of the heritage garden and tours of the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum, including demonstrations of hearth cooking.

It takes one hundred volunteers to bring this event to you each year. It also takes some seed money to pay for the infrastructure and preparation.
